Hawaii’s Most Vulnerable Pets Are Running Out of Time
Aloha Animal Outreach is the only organization bringing food, medical care, and rescue directly to pets living in Oahu’s houseless communities. They can’t wait. But with your help, they won’t have to.
The Crisis in Our Own Backyard
Thousands of Pets in Hawaii Have Nowhere to Turn.
On any given day, hundreds of dogs and cats are living alongside their families in Oahu’s houseless encampments — hungry, sick, and invisible to the systems designed to help them. Their owners love them deeply, but can’t access veterinary care, can’t afford food, and have no way to get their pets spayed or neutered.
Without intervention, these animals suffer from untreated injuries, disease, and starvation. Many never make it out. And the families who love them are forced to watch, helpless.
That’s where we come in.
Outreach Saves Lives
We Go to Them. Every Single Month.
Our all-volunteer team goes directly into the encampments, parking lots, and tent communities across Oahu to meet pets — and their families — right where they are. No appointments. No barriers. Just compassion in action.
We distribute [X,XXX]+ pounds of dog food, leashes, collars, and supplies every month so pets stay nourished, safe, and with the families who love them.
We provide flea and tick prevention, core vaccines, and basic medical treatment during every outreach — keeping animals healthy and reducing the risk of disease spreading through communities.
We connect families to low-cost and free spay/neuter resources, helping prevent overpopulation and giving pets a healthier, longer life.
When a pet can’t safely stay with their family, we work with trusted local rescue partners to place them into loving foster homes — and eventually, forever families.

Make a Direct Impact
Here’s what your gift does:
We’re an all-volunteer organization, which means every dollar you donate goes directly toward food, medical care, and rescue operations. No overhead fluff. Just help, delivered to the animals who need it most.
Monthly giving is the most powerful way to support us. A recurring gift, even a small one, means we can plan ahead, respond to emergencies, and show up consistently for the communities that depend on us.
Give More Than Money
Open Your Home. Save a Life.
Fostering is how we rescue. Without foster families, we can’t pull animals from the field, no matter how much they need help. When you foster, you’re not just giving a dog a bed. You’re giving us the ability to say yes to the next animal in crisis.
Not sure if fostering is right for you? Here’s the truth:
Not ready to foster? You can also help by volunteering at outreach events, supporting transport, or spreading the word in your community.
